Weekend Air Freight Consolidation and Shipping Schedule
From Germany (Stuttgart) to Chicago
- Consolidation Point: Stuttgart, every Friday.
- Origin Pick-up: For cargo within Germany, pick-up is on Thursday for next-day consolidation in Stuttgart. For cargo from airports outside Germany, pick-up is on Wednesday to ensure Friday consolidation.
Transport and Flight Details
- Friday Evening: Cargo is transported from Stuttgart Airport to Frankfurt Airport.
- Saturday: The cargo is loaded onto Lufthansa’s flight from Frankfurt to Chicago. The flight arrives in Chicago on Saturday evening.
- Sunday Morning: Cargo is collected from Chicago Airport and taken to the local warehouse. Customs clearance is processed, and the cargo is ready for dispatch by 10 AM.
Distribution from Chicago
- Local Chicago Delivery: Cargo is delivered Monday morning.
- Cleveland Delivery: Local Cleveland cargo is collected on Sunday evening, trucked overnight, and delivered on Monday.
- Other Destinations: Cargo is dispatched on Sunday evening, trucked overnight to various destination cities, and made available for local delivery Monday – Wednesday depending on location.
This schedule ensures efficient weekly transfers and distribution, aligning with customs processing timelines for timely deliveries.
