What documentation do I need?

This would depend on the type of goods, the destination, and other considerations. All required documents may include, but are not limited to:

Proforma and Commercial Invoices (CIV)
Packing List (PKL)
Certificate of Origin (COO)
Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI)
Bill of Lading or Air Waybill (BOL or AWB)
Bank drafts
Dangerous Goods Declaration (DG)

I have a question about the Incoterms ®

You can access the latest Incoterms ® 2020 on our Resources & Tools page. We can assist our customers with choosing the best Incoterms ® for their shipment. We can also advise our customers who is responsible for what expenses, risks, and responsibilities of their shipment.

Can you insure my cargo for me?

We definitely can and we advise in doing so. Please send a written request and we will procure the necessary insurance. Our worldwide network helps us in getting you the best possible rates.

Can you transport dangerous goods?

Yes, we can. Chemicals and hazardous materials are some of the key industries we serve. All the employees at MTA Lines who handle cargo are certified to handle hazardous materials for air, ocean, and road. Our team receives annual training and re-certifies every two years.

How do you address TSA Cargo Screening Requirements?

MTA is a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). We were one of the first in the United States to be approved. We handle cargo screening in-house and can tender screened cargo directly to the airline.

Can you arrange container loading?

Yes, container loading can be arranged at any of our warehousing facilities. Our warehouses are well-versed in secure blocking and bracing techniques used to keep your cargo secure and prevent shifting in transit.

Can you arrange door-to-door transportation?

We certainly can! With our extensive global network of partners, we can arrange transportation from anywhere to anywhere in the world.
