The Challenge
As Weaver shifted sourcing from China to India, it needed dependable LCL service from multiple suppliers. Weaver was experiencing a lack of coordination and visibility, leading to 25–35 days of avoidable delay between pickup and loading. The result: slower freight, higher risk, and less predictability.
Taking Ownership at Origin
Rather than work around the issues, MTA traveled to India alongside Weaver’s sourcing team to meet directly with suppliers and reset expectations. A trusted local partner was engaged, communication standards were tightened, and pickup-to-load processes were rebuilt on site.
Back in the U.S., MTA’s CFS-bonded warehouse in Berea supported a controlled weekly service from India to Cleveland, adding visibility and consistency at destination.
